Dr. Raghunath Anant Mashelkar

Dr. Mashelkar is one of India’s most eminent and multifaceted scientists. He fought a long legal battle to revoke the US patent on Haldi which earned him the moniker of ‘The Warrior of Haldighati’. He is the Fellow of Royal Society (FRS), recipient of Padma Vibhushan; JRD Tata Corporate Leadership award and Business Week (USA) “Star of Asia” awards. He is a leading innovation leader to propagate ‘Gandhian Engineering’ in India. For his valuable contributions in the fields of Science, Technology, Innovation and Research he is being conferred upon the degree of Doctor of Science (D.Sc.).
