About the Department

It promotes physical fitness, develops motor skills and the understanding of rules, concepts and strategies of playing games and sports. Students learn to either work as part of a team, or as individuals in a wide variety of competitive activities. (I) Theory course – Physical, Mental and Social Perspectives in Physical Education and sports Curriculum and Pedagogic Studies of Physical Education and sports (II) Engagement with the field/Practical- Tasks and assignments that run through all the course Courses in Enhancing Professional Capacities (III) Short term coaching assignments within university/school Leadership camps is a part of the programme Medium of Instruction: The Medium of Instruction, Examination, and Project Reports will be English and Hindi. Duration of the Program: A Student is expected to complete the B.P.E.S. Program in Three years (Six Semester), which can be completed in a maximum of Five years.
