Message from Dean, School of Pharmacy
Dean, School of Pharmacy
School of Pharmacy lies in its specialized focus on pharmaceutical sciences and healthcare. It integrates rigorous academic training with practical experience in drug development, patient care, and research.
The School has a sufficient number of Laboratories and classrooms in accordance with the PCI norms. The school has:
Even though the degree of freedom to modify the syllabus as proposed by the Pharmacy Council, the school is ever into enhancing the program in the school.
The first incorporation was the ABCA, with due BOS approval was greatly welcomed and accepted by our students. This concept has kept our students ever on their toes on continuous self-learning mode.
This time, keeping in view of the all-round development of the students, an attempt is to be made to develop the sensitive faculty of the students with an abundance of enthusiasm and energy. Thus, attempting to establish Emotional Quotient (EQ) in each student. It was therefore decided to include a Non-University Exam- credit Course of Fine Arts/Humanities, of the choice of students of First year and Second year.
Various educational materials related to Pharmacy, available online on various platforms as Coursera, MOOCs (Massive Online Open Courses), Swayam, Udemy, e-Pathshala, Harvard Online Courses, In-House courses, etc. The matter was discussed in detail to append online courses identified to be equivalent or enhance the already offered subjects in their syllabus that would enhance their employability at the end of their course. Thus, the students of III year and Final Year will have to take online courses as elective subjects’ bouquet, in each semester, related to Pharmacy, Medical Sciences, and Health industries limited to 4 credits for two years, and submit a Certificate as proof.
ITM University is the first to adopt the Activity-Based Continuous Assessment System in M.P. which is being implemented at IITs, IIMs, and among the best universities of the world. A student is evaluated for his/her performance in a subject continuously during a Semester/Trimester. The major components under ABCA in our School of Pharmacy include Application Based Activity, Projects, formulation development, Case Writing, Review of Literature, Seminar, Quiz, Poster, Open Book Test, Quiz and Assignments, etc. We have also developed a unique culture to give prizes for the best individual and group ABCA activities to boost the students.
Project-Based Learning (PBL) embodies a philosophy of education that emphasizes active, experiential learning. At its core, PBL shifts the focus from passive absorption of information to hands-on engagement with real-world problems and challenges. This approach encourages students to take ownership of their learning journey, fostering a deeper understanding of concepts and enhancing retention. Moreover, PBL promotes the development of essential skills such as critical thinking, collaboration, communication, and problem-solving – skills that are indispensable in today’s rapidly evolving world. By immersing students in authentic projects, PBL nurtures their curiosity, creativity, and intrinsic motivation to learn. Additionally, PBL aligns with the idea of lifelong learning, preparing students not only for academic success but also for success in their future careers and endeavours. Ultimately, the merits of PBL lie in its ability to cultivate well-rounded individuals who are not only knowledgeable but also adept at applying their knowledge to address real-world challenges.
The TAP cell of the university conducts regular programs for the training and Augmentation of our students that goes a long way in grooming them with etiquettes and interview facing skills besides offering technical training programs conducted experts from the industries
As per PCI norms, students get a minimum 1-month industrial training prior to completion of B. Pharm Course. The School of Pharmacy is planning to collaborate with different pharmaceutical industries to visit /training/placements.

Focused on fostering entrepreneurial skills, emphasizes program design, participant perspectives, and external factors in shaping its outcomes.
At ITM University, I have learned that excellence is not a one-day story; it is a matter of continuous efforts. I feel proud to be an alumna of ITM Groups. Whether it is academics, professional, or personal skills, ITM supports me everywhere. The faculty is very supportive, and the lectures delivered by them are so valuable that they helped me crack the placement drive. It’s been a great journey at ITM University.
Learning at ITM University taught me a lot; not only did the lecturers instill knowledge in me, but the school also provided me with opportunities to be better generally through the entrepreneurship hub. We were welcomed to a point where I learned more than just Pharmacy, and that was more than I asked for. Today, I'm a master’s scholar, and it's only because I have enough knowledge to get me this far
My favorite part about ITM was the faculty and fellow students. The faculty allowed me to express myself freely on a personal and intellectual level—they supported me with any interest or situation I faced. Another good thing is that I met many students from different countries, too, and one of my favorite parts was the lab practice, where I learned many things. Apart from my studies, I also performed lots of cultural activities. If I talk about placement, I got the college placement before graduation. Overall, I love ITM University.
