Teaching and Learning process

  • Up-to-date and innovative curriculum developed by experts from IIT’s, IIM’s and leading Universities of the country in consultation with professionals from industry and research organizations.
  • Syllabus are structured to have maximum knowledge application opportunity by including lab sessions for most of the subjects as all courses offered are applied courses.
  • At U.G. level for BCA (Hons.) the syllabi are designed such that on completion of degree the student has surface level knowledge of all subjects but in depth knowledge in at least one of the area of current times in the field of computer applications/ science. This is done by aligning the elective courses offered in 4-6 semester and relating them to the projects.
  • At P.G. level for MCA, Special elective courses like CCNA, Informatica are included in the syllabi of 4-6 semester to provide them the knowledge of such hi-tech courses required in the companies nowadays. Specialized Instructors are called from the industry to teach these subjects and also guide the students in projects related to these courses.

  • Grading system is used for results to minimize the stress level of the students. This grading system involves the following features:
    • The final grade of the respective semester is calculated on the basis of the marks attained in mid- term Examinations, Continuous Evaluation Scheme, and End –Term Examinations.
    • Continuous Evaluation includes the complete attendance of the student during the whole semester, assignments submitted, class tests given, vivas given, seminars given, and overall class performance.
  • Emphasis on appreciating the efforts made during the semester along with the final examination.
  • 3600 development of personality through various curricular, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities.
  • Communication skills orientation and personality development programmes incorporated in the scheme of examination to make that course compulsory.
  • To help students in planning their courses of study and for getting general advice on academic programme, a certain number of students are assigned to Faculty members who are called their Faculty Advisor/Mentor.
