Sports & fitness serve as a vital and integral part of student life in campus. The mission of sports & fitness is to provide the university community with programmes that offer vigorous, fun-filled, health-promoting, physical activity conducive to wellness and personal development. Sports fitness supports the mission of the university by seeking to create a climate that motivates members to embrace a healthy lifestyle, which can enhance their academics studies, build friendships and social skills, develop leadership qualities, and cultivate a sense of ownership and belonging to the university. The university students are second to none and deserve a first rate programme. Physical activity and sports have been observed as a way to stay physically and mentally healthy and in shape, but their importance goes much further. As a matter of fact, playing sports teaches life lessons like discipline, responsibility, self-confidence, accountability, and teamwork. Many research has shown that exercise increases blood flow to the brain and assists the body build more connections between nerves, leading to increased concentration, enhanced memory, stimulated creativity, and better-developed problem-solving skills. In short, playing sports helps your brain grow and makes it work better.

The ITM University Central Library is the soul of the institution and it has started acquiring, processing, preserving and disseminating information to the user community with the motto of empowering knowledge. It has an extensive collection of books, scientific and technical journals and electronic reference material, which is updated regularly. The Library and Information Centre consists a Reference Section, Circulation Section, Periodical Section and E-Library. The University library has continuously automated its library activities through e-Granthalaya Library Management Software in order to provideupdated and wide range of academic resources such as books, journals, online databases, DVDs and other useful materials. In addition to the central library each department will have its own library such as Law Library, Agriculture Library, Nursing Library, Pharmacy Library, Management Library etc.
Library Resources:The library has a total collection about …………. documents including reference and text books. Books are being arranged on open access shelves for easy search and retrieval purposes.
Reference Collection:While most reference books are available for issue, some of the books are kept exclusively for reference purposes. Currently the Central library has 16000+ reference books.
Textbooks Collection:Textbooks for undergraduate/postgraduate courses are arranged at one place (separate departmental libraries). Sufficient number of copies are available for each individual title approx. 100000+ books are available in the library.
News Paper Collection:ITM University library subscribes to 10 newspapers both in English and Hindi language to satisfy the needs of all types of user community. The library also has an e-news paper facility for students and staff, also available in LMS.
Magazines and Periodicals:Library has subscribe to a good number of magazines both in English and Hindi language and subject periodicals to satisfy the academic and reference needs of student and faculty member.
One of the key contributors to an intensive & practical learning experience is living in campus. A boys’ hostel with a capacity of approx 800 beds and a girl's hostel having a capacity of approx 300 beds are located within the campus. The hostel is well equipped with basic recreation & indoor sports facilities that provide students with a homely atmosphere to strengthen the feeling of belonging. A semi-mechanized and hygienic mess & dining facility accommodating sufficient persons at a time has also been created.
Just close to the main gate of ITM State Bank of Indore has its ATM facility which is accessible by all major debit/credit cards and inside the campus, one branch of UCO bank is also available for students and staff.
Performing Art Club’s goal is to increase awareness of performing arts in university as well as to bring forth and discover the talent among students and encourage them to refine their talents in music, art, dance, theater and cultural using this platform. Performing Art Club members minutely watch & learn the process of art creation at different symposia of sculptors held at ITMU and occasionally meet artists & painters to discuss the finer beauty of art. In this process a subtle sensitivity about appreciation of Art develops amongst the students leading to blooming of artistic discernment and sensibility.
In music the members not only listen to the classical concerts & rock-shows but create their own bands and perform their own talent on various occasions. The club members learn various forms of Indian and Western dances & practice to fine tune and perform. In theater members is well received not only by budding theater artists but also by the audiences and spectators from the city. This club is dedicated to students sharing literary interests. The purpose of this club is to offer a relaxing and intellectual platform for students to exchange ideas, emotions and theories on selected reading through creative writing, debating and quizzing. The wall magazine is a reflection of the literary skills of the students. The editorial board of the University conducts regular competitions to encourage and enhance these talents. The club takes care of the ecological & environmental issues within the campus and suggests ways and means to reduce carbon emissions responsible for degradation and damage to the Earth’s ecosystem. The Sports Club organises various sports events for both students and faculty members regularly. It also conducts Yoga sessions. An interesting space called “Zero Gravity” has been constructed within ITMU Campus for meditation & Yoga where any one willing to join the regular club can come and try to attain serenity of the mind & fitness of the body. The club formed by students for optimum use of library. Our students’ library club(SLC), started in 2017, is a university level club consisting of those enthusiastic students who work hard to connect all interested students to avail the benefits of library. SLC on behalf of the library conducts many events such as book review contest, Unifest, Festoon A Splash of Creativity and many others which immensely help in grooming a student’s personality on the whole by developing their reading, writing and interpersonal skills. To promote students’ participation in community service, the university is running National Service Scheme. The Motto of NSS is ‘‘NOT ME BUT YOU’’. There is one unit of NSS in the ITM University with strength of 610 volunteers. The main focus of the scheme is on personality development through community service. The NSS Unit of the University organizes regular and special camps related to health and hygiene, literacy, environment, personality development, etc. These camps are usually held in the campus or in the adopted villages. NSS Unit also deputes volunteers to various Inter State Camps, National Integration Camps and also inter-state and National Cultural Festivals. national Cadet CorpS (NCC) NCC is the organization to install the values of “Unity and Discipline”- the Motto of the National Cadet Corps. The ITM University Gwalior has established a student Chapter under the prestigious world forum “The Society of Exploration Geophysicists (SEG)” in Feb, 2017. This chapter will help preparing our students as successful professional and provide essential tools and resources for educational enhancement, travel, networking and leadership training.
The society for the promotion of Indian Classical Music and Culture amongst Youth, popularly known as ‘SPIC MACAY’. It is involved in promoting Indian classical music, dance and other aspects of Indian culture. It seeks to foster the exchange of traditional Indian values and to generate awareness of the cultural tradition and heritage of India. It is also a movement with chapters in 200 towns and cities and ITM University Gwalior is one of them. Spic Macay organises concerts lectures and demonstrations, informal discussion and seminars for the promotion of Indian culture and arts. ITM University Gwalior is one of the prolific centres to witness such events.
